FRESHWATER CALCIFIERS

Freshwater systems are also subject to variations in carbonate chemistry. I am interested in how freshwater calcifiers cope with these variations and aim to compare their performance with that of their marine counterparts. I  have conducted experiments at the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center and we are beginning to test freshwater species responses to decoupled carbonate chemistry.
